Located in rural Waitawheta near the town of Waihi, the camp is close to large areas of native New Zealand bush and rivers, including one of New Zealand's natural gems - the Karangahake Gorge.

Whether it's tramping, kayaking, abseiling or something a little less adventurous like exploring gold-mining heritage sites or travelling on the vintage rail train, there is so much to do in and around the camp.  >> activities

We are only 15 minutes drive from the East Coast town of Waihi Beach, with it's pristine white sand beaches and coastal walkways.

Accommodation for all group sizes

Within the camp itself we have enough room to cater for over 100 people, with bunkroom accommodation and space for tents and campers.   >> accommodation

 

Waitawheta is a small farming community close to the Southern Coromandel town of Waihi.

The camp is located just 10 minutes drive from Waihi township.
